So many exhibits…

I have so many exhibits coming up that almost all my quilts are going to be out in the world. I hope you can come to check one out. If you do, let me know.

Quilting Frederick

August 29 - November 21

Maryland Hall - 801 Chase Street, Annapolis, MD

Artist Reception: August 29 @ 5:30 - 7 PM

The entire Quilting Frederick series will be on display. Maryland Hall is an important event space in our capital city. This will be an exciting solo show.

Hispanic Heritage Exhibit

September 21 - November 9

Bowie City Hall - 15901 Fred Robinson Way, Bowie MD

Artist Reception: September 26 @ 7 - 8:30 PM

Three of my quilts will be on display at the City Hall as part of their Hispanic Heritage Exhibit. Some of the quilts are rarely exhibited and are part of my personal collection that tell part of my life story.

Simple Lines

September 21 - November 9

Delaplaine Arts Center - 40 S. Carroll Street, Frederick, MD

Artist Reception: September 7 @ 3-5 PM

In an exhibit by the DC Studio Art Quilt Associates, art quilters in the region interpret the DC area. My quilt, The Spur, represents part of the DC beltway and yes, those are lights!

Reflections

October 9 - November 16

Page-Walker Arts & History Center - 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary, NC

Artist Reception: October 18 @ 6-8 PM

This exhibit features art quilts by SAQA members of the VA, NC region reflecting on their surroundings. My quilt of the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, VA is part of the exhibit.

In addition to those exhibits, I also have my quilt of the Monogalia Court House on display in Morgantown, WV and my quilt of the Frederick Library will be part of the Tactile Architecture exhibit in Houston in November. I have never had so many exhibits at te same time. I am a visual person (surprise!) so I wanted to visualize the moment.

Pretty cool!
