Persist

$650.00

The 2016 Woman’s March was very inspiring. I live close to DC but because of physical limitations, I could not attend. I wanted to do something to express all the feelings that event brought up. That is how the quilt Persist was born. I believe that one of the greatest assets of this country is its diversity and wanted to show its power. It makes me very angry when one culture or ethnicity is valued more over another. Did you know the Statue of Liberty was modeled after an Arab woman? I show hints of that fact in the quilt.
